Additional mailbox & opening additional mailbox via IE
1. How would i map additional mailboxes by Script once a user logs on or opens Outlook (i prefer the mailbox to appear under the Advanced options). Please keep in mind this is to help users that need to log onto different PCs and have more than their own mailbox. 2. Under Exchange 2003 i could type in a browser, something like https://server/owa/user. This then prompted me for username and password, currently in Exchange 2007 it says "This mailbox cannot be opened. The mailbox may be located in a different forest from the Microsoft Exchange Client Access server. For access to the mailbox or for more information, contact technical support for your organization." How could i get around this so it prompts me to have a username/password pop up? Thanks

Hi,For your first question; Sorry! there isnt any readymade script available for that but you can try googling around to see if you can find something, though a good guideline ishttp://www.dimastr.com/redemption/profiles.htm#example6What I read in your second question is you tried using https://server/owa/user. I am not sure if you have typed that correctly but I would suggest the correct way to be the https://server/owa/primary-email-address-of-another-user Exchange 2007 makes it even easier to open another mailbox using OWA. Thanks ill look into that link. Regarding my second query wheni use something likehttps://server/owa/anotheruser@domain.comI receive "You do not have permission to open this mailbox. For access or for more information, contact technical support for your organization."Although i know i could add permission to the mailbox but i prefer if a dialog box popped up asking me for credentials. Thanks

Can you add your mailbox to the shared mailbox ACEs by running Add-MailboxPermissions -Identity <shared Mailbox> -User <Your User Name> -AccessRights FullAccess ? I would either force the AD replication or simply wait it to replicate the changes after this.Give it a try and then open it using OWA. If that still fails you may also try adding that mailbox into Outlook as an additional mailbox.-Milind Naphade
