Additional Domain Controller with Exchange 2003 Enterprise Edition
Hi,OS - Windows 2003 Ent EditionI have added additional Domain Controller to the current environment.I have a problem when I off the primary Domain Controller and let this additional Domain Controller run.The problem is my Exhange server cannot send outgoing mail (e.g to gmail or hotmail)- Do I have to do any Exchange configuration on the additional domain controller ? - I also have problem with the group policy, when i click on the user and check on the Group Policy i cannot get the policy..Thanks & RegardsSri

Have you setup & configured DNS on your additional domain controller? My guess is exchange is setup to use DNS to route mail and that the dns forwarders were set only on the first dc. To check, launch nslookup from any machine on the network, type server 2nd.DC.IP and press enter, type www.google.com and press enter, do you get a non-authoritative response with an ip? if not then thats most likely your problem, setup forwarders on the new dc in dns. also make sure the new DC is the primary dns server for your exchange server in the tcp/ip properties.
