Surethere is a pop account with email like service@xyz.com after installing the exchange 2007 and creating all users and email. I tried to create the email with name service@xyz.com. but Windows complains that the specified account already exist. when I look at the emails or groups there is not a service "user name" or "distribiting groups". so I am sure becase it is an enternal name I can not use it. is there any way to add Service@xyz.com to exchange email?thanks again

Are you using the Exchange Management Console or the ExchangeManagement Shell to do this? If it's the EMS can you post the cmdletand values you're using? Is the error telling you that the name of the object you're trying tocreate already exists, or that the e-mail address you're trying toassign to the object is used by some other object? Is xyz.com your domain or does it belong to some other e-mail system? >when I look at the emails or groups there is not a service "user name" or "distribiting groups". so I am sure becase it is an enternal name I can not use it. is there any way to add Service@xyz.com to exchange email?thanks again ---Rich MatheisenMCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP

I'm running Exchange 2007 SP2, and I have an account in my domain with that address (customer service email account).
