Adding a second/mail server to current network
Hello all I'm currently running Win Server 2003 for SBS with MS Exchange Server 2003. I've got another, redundant, SBS 2003 box that I would like to reformat and set up as a mail server on the network. I'm not really sure where to start with this - I can put any 32-bit OS and Exchange combination on the new box - should I go for the same? Can I have two SBS 2003 servers on the same network? I'd then need to migrate the mailboxes over. What about active directory? Links to knowledge bases would be useful I guess but really anything that I need to be looking at and that I might have forgotten (lots!) Many thanks, Sam (software developer and seat-of-the-pants in house network admin)

You'll very definitely want to ask this in the SBS forum. That product has special issues and tools for this kind of thing. -- Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems." . OK Ed, I will do. I'll leave this open for now in case anyone else has something to add. Thanks

Like Ed said, since this is a SBS issue, please write post in our SBS newsgroup to get help from SBS experts: http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?dg=microsoft.public.windows.server.sbs&cat=en_US_77750084-cabb-4056-9708-d9264353c1b3&lang=en&cr=US
