Adding a contact using email

Guys

In an email, if I right click in the From column's email address and choose add to outlook contacts, a new dialog box opens up that lets me save the contact. But within this dialog box, I cannot input data into fields like phone because they don't appear. I suspect this has something to do with views but my view settings within the people tab is correctly set to business cards. How do I change the view in this dialog box so that I actually see the phone and fax tab and add data right there without going to People tab

Thx

Hi,

From the description, you are using Outlook 2013, correct? This is the new Contact Card display in Outlook 2013 and it won't help whether we change the contact view to Business Card or something else.

By "I cannot input data into fields like phone because they don't appear", do you mean it shows without box under the field label like the screenshot below:

If this is the case, we can just click the '+' icon to add a filed box. (See screenshot above)

If I've misunderstood something, please feel free to let me know.

If I click + and choose Home 2 for example, all it does it shows Home 2 at the bottom but there is no place to actually put in a phone number right on this dialog box which is what I'm looking for

If you see Add to Contacts it *should* work (it does here) - if the contact is from facebook or linkedin, you'll see Edit contact but that doesn't actually edit the contact - the fields expand for you to add values but it doesn't save the changes to a contact.

If you would rather use the contact form instead of the contact card, you can use the TurnOnLegacyGALDialog key.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\common\contactcard
DWORD: TurnOnLegacyGALDialog
Value: 1 (enable)
