Adding/Migrating from Server 2003 to Server 2008 with Exchange 2003
I have read many articles and seem to have a grasp of the steps necessary for prepping our 2003 domain environment (FSMO server) for our new Server 2008 R2 DC, including: adprep /forestprep, adprep /domainprep, adprep /domainprep /gpprep. The question I have, which I have not found a good answer for, is: are any additional prepping steps needed for our Exchange 2003 server (running on Server 2003), or should it work fine after the AD prepping? According to the support matrix Exchange 2003 SP2 supports running in a 2008 domain enviroment, just not sure how the AD prepping would affect it. As a note, our Exchange 2003 is not running on any of our DCs, if that matters for this discussion. Thanks for your time and help.

I don't know of anything. If you were running Windows 2000 AD, you'd need to run a job to fix a few LDAP names, but not from 2003.Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."
