I have a Organization Management and Recipient Management permissions on Exchange 2013 server. I need to add members to distribution group which is owned by user who left the company. When I try to do it there is an error that I do not have proper permissions. The same error when I try to add myself into owners of this distribution group. How to resolve this issue?

Please try to run this command and add the required users to manage. And assign My Distribution Groups and My Distribution Group Membership

Set-DistributionGroup -Identity '<DLname>' -ManagedBy  'USR1', 'USR2','USR3'

I have tried to run

but there is the same error: You don't have sufficiend permissions...

Did you assign the permission using the URL provided above?

This specific distribution group was setup by this user who left company and who is owner of it. It will not help when I assign My Distribution Groups and My Distribution Group Membership permissions to my user

Hi,

From your description, the user you use to manage distribution group has the necessary permission. I recommend you check if you can use this user to manage other distribution groups. If yes, the issue is related to this distribution group, since the owner has left, you can create a new distribution group as a workaround.
