Add a new domain to Office365 and Hybrid Exchange

Looking to add a new domain to Office365 in an Exchange 2010 hybrid environment with ADFS 2.0 and directory sync server.  The domain will become the primary UPN for users and it will also be used for mail flow.  Any tips on how to complete this?  I am new to Office365, any help would be appreciated.  So far I have the following:

1) MX record amendment to point at Office365.

2) Add domain to Office365

3) On premise hybrid exchange server - add domain to accepted domains

4) Run Hybrid Config Wizard to upload domain to Office365, ensure users have check box removed for automatically apply policies.

5) Add UPN to Active Directory

6) Test mail flow

7) Add domain as primary smtp address and set UPN to new domain.  This will include changing the UPN back to default onmicrosoft.com address, run dirsync, change to new domain UPN and run dirsync again.

Thanks in advance!
