Activesync & OutlookAnywhere on same ISA server?
How do I publish both Activesync and OutlookAnywhere on the same ISA 2006 server? Environment is Exchange 2007. When trying to publish the OutlookAnywhere, I receive an error message saying that another listener is already using the same IP address and ports. The issue is that Activesync uses FBA/AD and OutlookAnywhere uses HTTP authentication. All help is appreciated.

Hi Troy, your existing web listener can also work for both Active Sync and Ourlook Anywhere if its set to use FBA/AD. If ISA server is a domain member then you can use Windows authentication. Even though you have configured this Web Listener to use forms-based authentication, it will still work for the Outlook RPC/HTTP clients and the ActiveSync clients because the ISA Firewall will check the user-agent string and if the user-agent string does not indicate that a Web browser is being used, it will fall-back to basic authentication. These articles can help you a greate deal.Publishing Exchange Server 2007 with ISA Server 2006 http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb794751.aspxPublishing Exchange 2007 OWA, Exchange ActiveSync and RPC/HTTP using the 2006 ISA Firewall http://www.isaserver.org/tutorials/Publishing-Exchange-2007-OWA-Exchange-ActiveSync-RPCHTTP-using-2006-ISA-Firewall-Part1.html

Ok. This is now working but the Outlook clients in the domain are now getting prompted for login credentials even though they are logged in on a live desktop client. In other words, they are on the LAN where their mailbox server is. We want to provide regional Outlook Anywhere connections. One in Asia, Europe & North America. We are testing this in a lab environment that mirrors the production environment. I have configured OA in EU & NA. When an Outlookclient is in Asia, they get prompted for login credentials for the ISA/CAS server in NA (where the public folders are located). This seems to be unusual behavior. Is this normal?

We have account lockout policy in our environment and the KB article says this should not be applied if account lockout policy is enabled.
