Active Sync Recovery Password Missing
Adding Exchange 2007 ActiveSync Mobile Policy. Now requiring passwords on phones with Exchange accounts, as well as 10 incorrect passwords and the phone gets wiped, and support for a recovery password. We have a user who already partnered a phone with his Exchange account. We deleted the Exchange account on his phone and re-added it. Problem: When I manage his mobile device in Exchange or look in the user's OWA, the recovery password field is blank. I understand the recovery password gets generated on the device and then copied into Exchange. What process generates it? What do I ahve to do to get the recovery password field to populate in Exchange?

I'd suggest you setup an emulatorinternally and test using Windows mobile emulator to see if the "Recovery password" appears. It would help us isolate the fault from third party mobilc device. Thanks. Fiona Liao TechNet Community Support
