ActiveSync with F5 doesn't work!

Hello All!

I'm configuring nowadays ActiveSync for mobile devices that will connect from Internet.

I have URL for ActiveSync that points to External IP of our F5, let's say: https://activesync.com

After F5 gets request from Mobile Device it's being forward towards Exchange 2013 Servers.

In Exchange server I've configured Internal URL for ActiveSync Virtual Directory only that points to https://ExchangeServerFQDN.

External URL I left as "blank".

Nothing works.

What I do wrong?

What is the exact URL for ActiveSync? ( Why arent you setting the External URL? )

It should be something like:

https://activesync.contoso.com/Microsoft-Server-Acti

The URL has exactly structure as you wrote.

I don't have it, because I have an Internal URL. Do I need to have both URL's?

If I do have to have Both URL's, then why?

You dont absolutely need an external URL. All that does is define what is handed out via Autodiscover to the clients.

The important thing is that the URL external mobile clients connect to is accessible.
