ActiveSync not working for some
I have two Exchange 2003 SP2 servers, both are mailbox servers, in different locations (server A, server B). We have one AD domain, with domain controllers and global catalogs in both locations. Server A lives in our main datacenter, while server B lives in a remote office, connected to the datacenter by private network. All activesync connections are established with server A. Users with mailboxes on server A can connect with activesync with no problems. Users with mailboxes on server B cannot access their mailbox via activesync. please help

Is server A set as a front end server? No, both servers (A,B) are backend mailbox servers. This configuration has been working fine for 2 years, it just stopped working yesterday.

The email flow is working between server A and B? Any other issues apart ftom activesync? Have you checked event logs?

email flow is working 100%. Users on server B can access their mail from Outlook and also OWA. Users on server A can send mail to users on server B and vice versa. No errors in event log, but maybe I don't have diagnostic logging turned on enough. Not sure what to turn on to capture that.

On server A, check the iis logs and see if you see any HTTP 500 errors for server B users. Click properties on server A, diagnostic logging and you should activesync, turn on the logging to high.

I do see one error for each user trying to connect: Event Type: Error Event Source: Server ActiveSync Event Category: None Event ID: 3005 HTTP status code: [507]. Verify that the Exchange mailbox Server is working correctly. Like I said, the server is working in all other aspects, except for Activesync access.

Hi photomatt8, Please run Exchange Remote Connectivity Analyzer https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com/ to do a ActiveSync test, it will guide you some general steps for troubleshooting the issue. If the issue persists, please paste the result of Remote Connectivity Analyzer here. For the Event ID 3005, here is some related information for you: Exchange Server ActiveSync Event ID 3005 http://www.microsoft.com/technet/support/ee/transform.aspx?ProdName=Exchange&ProdVer=6.5&EvtID=3005&EvtSrc=Server+ActiveSync&LCID=1033 HTTP status code: [507] http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/exchangesvrmobility/thread/e767207f-8b6a-47f8-90b2-145619d1dfbc/ Thanks, Evan
