I have ActiveSync error 3005 and 3007 repeatedly in one of my FE server, I would like to know if someone experienced similar issue and fixed it. Thanks in advance. Hi,I have foundapprox similarissue encountered by some one and resolved by rebuild active synch Virtual Directory1. Open up Systems Manager (Start -> All Programs -> Microsoft Exchange Systems Manager).2. Look for the "Servers" folder and drill down.3. If you have a Front-End/Back-End (FE/BE) scenario like me you will have to do this fix to both machines.4. Drill down to the server you want and then to "Protocols HTTP Exchange Virtual Server".5. Once you have drilled down there, right click on the "Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync" and click Delete.6. Right click on the "Exchange Virtual Server", click New, and then Virtual Directory.7. Under Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync -> "Exchange Path" click "Exchange ActiveSync".8. Then OK out of it.Above content is from below URL:http://www.eventid.net/display.asp?eventid=3005&eventno=2656&source=Server%20ActiveSync&phase=1Anil

This did not fix the issue..:(I am more concerned about the 3007 warning, if it is getting generated in server, the other users also will not be able to access emails in mobile. To resolve this we need to reset the IIS or reboot the server. When I reset the IIS at that time I am getting this error in system log.Event Type:WarningEvent Source:W3SVCEvent Category:NoneEvent ID:1013Date:8/26/2009Time:8:38:01 AMUser:N/AComputer:FEOWA01Description:A process serving application pool 'ExchangeApplicationPool' exceeded time limits during shut down. The process id was '4316'.

Hello Subsun, Are the users who have this problem in the same store or storage group? Please create a new store and move one problematic users mailbox to it, then check if the issue persists. Do you have any third party software in FE or BE? If so, please disable them temporarily and test the issue. At the same time, I suggest you use network monitor to capture the traffic on both side, then check if some package is missing, e.g. FE send a HTTP request, but BE doesnt receive it. Thanks, Elvis

Sorry for the late response, The issue turned out to be a performance issue with the FE server. We have upgraded the HW of FE server and the error now considerably reduced, we also updated this patch : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/941439 on FE servers. This might also helped to reduce the errors. We are not getting 3007 event now but still receive few 3005 errors with HTTP status code: [422]. We did not hear any user complains after we upgraded & updated the FE servers. Can some one tell me Does this 3005 error indicates a critical issue?
