ActiveSync - Mail not syncing w/o re-entering password

This past weekend, some users started seeing email not synching on their iPhone's.  Once the end user re-enter's their same network password, email starts synching again.

We've recently implemented Windows 2012 fine grain password policy's.  It's been a few weeks for some of these users who had to re-enter their password.

Environment - Windows 2012 R2 AD, Exchange 2010 SP3 RU 8-v2

Idea's or suggestions?

Thanks

I'm wincing over the inappropriate use of apostrophes.  Does "TrojansBaby" refer to USC?  That would explain it.

Are you saying that once they reenter the password, the problem goes away?  Is it really worth worrying about at this point?

For these specific users, they had already changed their password within a few weeks.

We increased our password length and enabled complex requirements.  Then, we used fine grained password policy so we can roll it out by office.

Can't we just go back to Blackberry's?

That would be "Blackberries".  Apostrophes don't apply to plurals.

And, of course, sure you can since that's a decision for your management.

I have seen this happen before with a particular MDM solution. Most of the time it's the profile on the device do not update to the new password. It's quicker to remove the profile and resync. Almost like a new enrolled device.

Actually, I'll be implementing a MDM solution in the near future.

Check to see if the devices recently updated their iOS version. Apple recently released iOS 8.4.1 update. When we have had issues exactly like this in the past, I've been able to tie it to iOS updates being installed.  It completely random though to which devices act up.
