Account Lockout Issue
I currently have a Windows 2003 server that runs a third-party imaging application. This server needs to actually be logged on to perform the functions necesary for the imaging application. We created an AD account to act as a service account for this server. The server is logged on using this account. Every few days this account gets locked out and the imaging application fails. We cannot figure out why this account keeps locking out. We have tried altools but don't really see any reason that this account is locking out. Does anyone have any other methods to determine why this account keeps locking out? Thanks in advance, Eric Dami MCSA/MCSE

Hi Eric, Turn up the logging on the DC's and then start looking around the time that the account is getting locked out to find which server/pc the lock out is comming from. Or you could try creating a new service account and switch the application over to using the new account. Thanks Will

Hi Eric, Please understand that we mainly discuss Exchange issues in this forum. As your issue is related to Windows Server, I suggest discussing this issue in Windows Server 2003 newsgroup. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/windowsserver/bb841405.aspx Thanks, Elvis
