Accessing shared calendars from linked mailboxes
Hi,We are running Exchange 2003 sp2, clients are Outlook 2003 /OWA. We are in the middle of a AD moving project where user accounts are "recreated" in another forest (newforest). Exchange mbx is not moved (oldforest acts like a resource forest). There exist a two way trust between the two forests. When accounts are "copied" an account is created in newforest, and the new account is given Read and Full access on the mbx in oldforest. Accessing mailboxes from newforest accounts works OK, the problem arises when users in newforest tries to open shared calendars... Some users have given write access to their calendars (added from Global address list) so collegaues etc can update meetings etc, but now this have stopped working (access denied)We have tried to give the newaccounts the associated external account rights on the mbxes, with no luck. (The old accounts cannot be disabled because users are logging on both forests on a daily basis. (new buildings = new forest), and associated external accounts should only be used when accounts are disabled http://technet.microsoft.com/nb-no/library/bb124164(en-us,EXCHG.65).aspx)Anybody exeperianced similar problems?Solutions?Thanks!-Øyvind Standal-

Yes, here are the basics:OWA 2007 - Assign Send As Permissions to Linked Mailbox in Trusted Domainhttp://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/exchangesvrclients/thread/5fdf4cd7-3543-4b5d-94cc-317446ddaa46You don't need to conform strictly to AGLP or AGDLP. In some cases as with Public Folders and Managed By with Distribution Groups you need to mail-enable the security group. For shared mailbox access this is not necessary. At least you get the idea, and it works.Jon-Alfred Smith MCTS: Messaging | MCSE: S+M
