Accessing full header information in Outlook 365 REST API

I am trying to filter out messages that are the result of an auto-generated reply (including vacation responses and calendar acceptance emails, among others). This requires access to headers that aren't currently exposed in the REST api for Outlook 365 messages.

Are there any plans to add access to all MIME headers to the REST API? Or is there any other way I could access this information?

Hi ChristinaRoberts,

We don't currently support getting MIME headers using REST API.  This is on our roadmap, but we haven't determined the timeframe.  YOu should still be able to filter our calendar acceptance emails by looking at OData type that is Microsoft.OutlookServices.EventMessage.  If we do something similar for vacation messages as well, would that work?  Let me know if you have any questions or need more info.

Thanks,
Venkat

Hi Venkat,

Thank you for your response. In the absence of full headers, it would be very helpful if the API exposed the value of the auto-submitted header, since many spam/junk/automated messages come with useful values in that field that allows us to filter them out. If you add such a feature, we will certainly make use of it.

All the best,

Christina
