Accepted Domain Users not appearing in GAL
Good day: I am running an Exchange 2007 server Std ed on a W2K8 Std Ed box. All of the email addresses from my primary domain show up correctly. However, the addresses from the newly added accepted domain do not show up in the GAL. Any ideas why? Thanks Jesse

How long ago did you add this domain? Do you mean the GAL or the Offline Address Book? Look in OWA, as that uses live information. Did you create an email address policy for that domain as well? Adding it to the accepted domains is not enough to get it added to user accounts as an email address. Simon.Simon Butler, Exchange MVP. http://blog.sembee.co.uk , http://exbpa.com/

Simon: They were added yesterday; they do show up in OWA, but not in Outlook. There is an email address policy in place for all recipients types. If I add the accepted domain to the SMTP E-Mail Address list, will this cause all mailboxes to get all addresses? I mean the Offline Address Book. Thanks, Jesse

Hi, For the Outlook clients which are running under the Cache Mode, it downloads the OAB automatically every 24 hours. And Exchange generates the OAB every morning at 4:00 by default. To update the OAB immediately, please right click the Offline Address Book and click Update. Then try to download the OAB on the Outlook side. Is that fine? Thanks Allen

All of the contacts did show up in the OAB. Thanks for the assistance.
