About receive connector command in exchange 2007 b2
Hi all, i am new here.i have setting up MS exchange 2007 B2(32bit) for testing purpose without edge transport protocol. The name of my DC pc is ex. (gp.example.com) and the name of my exchange server pc is (tm.example.com) that means in the same domain(example.com). i have created send connector through GUI. For receive connector when i gave command set-ReceiveConnector "tm" -permissiongroups:"ExchangeUsers,AnonymousUsers" it gives the following error object"tm" could not befound in DC"gp.example.com". can anyone tell me whats the exact command for this?

Hi Nathan, i can send & receive mail in internal network but not to internet. how can i send mail to internet? i made a send connector for all(*) it will work for internet mail flow? Another thing is that for retriving mail for all of my users from provider mail server to my exchange server we used exchange pop3(fetchmail 3rd party). For this is there any built in tools with exchange 2007? Thanks in advance. Uddhap

As far as the POP3 bit goes, there is nothing built in. SBS 2003 has a POP3 connector but there was never anything in the standalone product. I don't know of any 3rd party solutions, I would speak to the provider of your existing one and see if they have an upgrade planned. One thing you could do would be to leave you Exchange 2003 server in place to pickup the email. I am installed 2007 at the moment and will try and get more info on the connector setup shortly. In the meantime, the link I provided should run you through it. If that doesn't help check out the Exchange 2007 help file which is excellent. Cheers Nathan

To receive mail from your external domain, you need to add the domain to the accepted domains list and then add the domain to the email address policy. For more info see here: http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2006/11/16/431531.aspx Cheers Nathan

Yes, you do need to check your DNS settings. The other thing required to receive mail from the Internet is an MX record for your domain pointing to the server that will receive the mail. (This should be a public IP address!) Cheers Nathan
