I have some questions,I wanted to create and configure my yahoo e-mail account on my ms-outlook 2007,  

I have configured the yahoo mail account on ms-outlook 2007, I have checked the settings of incoming and outgoing mail server from internet search.

I have done the following steps to setup my yahoo mail account. 1) Opened MS-Outlook 2007. 2) Clicked on Tools tab ---Options--- "Mail Setup"------> E-mail Account----> New

I checked the settings on MS-Outlook 2007 by clicking on Tools tab----> Account setting,In Account Settings it is showing the "Email Account",

In E-mail account ,it shows my yahoo account that I already made in above step but when I double click on this yahoo account, It shows "Internet E-mail Settings",and in this setting the Account Type : POP3 by default and it is disabled. I wanted to know that why is it disabled?

Hi,

From the description, you have finished configuring the email account, correct? If this is the case, POP3 should be greyed out for an already configured account. If you want to change to another protocol, you have to remove the current POP3 account and then add a new one.

Thanks for the reply, well I actually I have created a yahoo account on ms-outlook 2007 and have configured my yahoo account on it.

I have configured the SMTP protocol for Outgoing Mail Server and IMAP protocol for Incoming Mail Server, when I click on the "Test Account Settings", it successfully tests the e-mails that are sent ,but when it tests the "Incoming Mail Server", it fails.

So the problem is with the "Incoming Mail Server" which is using IMAP protocol.

Can you pls help?
