AD Upgrade with Exchange
Hello everybody!
I have 2 servers:
1. Windows Server 2003 Enterprice x32 with Active Directory
2. Windows Server 2003 Enterprice x64 with Exchange Server 2007 SP2 x64
I need to upgrade my Active Directory Server to Windows Server 2008.
1. How can i do it?
2. Will i have problem with my Exchange Server after Update Active Directory Server? If yes, how i can solve this problem? Thx

Exchange doesn't care about the domain level, all it cares about is the domain controller it is using.
Therefore just follow the usual procedure for introducing Windows 2008 domain controllers. Once you have introduced your first one, make it a global catalog. Take the other one off then restart the Exchange server. It will start using the new DC.

Hi,
You need to follow the below appends steps to completely move ad services from Server-2003 to Server2008
1. Install Windows Server 2008 as domain controller in existing forest or as ADC then make it global catalog server and remove GC from old server
2. Move FSMO roles from 2003 to 2008 server you can follow the stteps from here http://support.microsoft.com/?id=324801#top

You must also prepare the domain for a Windows 2008 DC:
