Hi, Can you send email to other domain when you inside your LAN? I have to check "My outgoing server requires authentication" option and use a secure smtp connection. You have checked the box and it still doesnt work, right? Could you please paste the complete NDR and let us know if the NDR is generated by your server? Dear Ashwini,Yes the issue is with outgoing mails only. The problem is not with a specific ID or for a specific domain. All users face the problem when they try to send e-mail to any other domain while they are ouside the LAN.Regards,Kamran

Dear Elvis,I can send e-mail to any domain from inside LAN. I have checked the "My outgoing server requires authentication" box but I still cannot send e-mail to other domains. I get this in the error box. Task 'Corporate Email - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC62) : 'Your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server has reported an internal error. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).Regards,Kamran

Something that will bite you when using SMTP services through another ISP is the fact that a lot of the ISP services are blocking port 25 traffic that is not routed through their SMTP servers. This started about 5 years ago to cut back on spammers. What you have to do to get around this is setup an SMTP connector on 587 which is an RFC standard alternate SMTP Port. It sounds like your port 25 traffic is being blocked.A good test is to use telnet to verify connectivity on that port. So from a computer outside your network that is having sending problems open a command prompt and type the following: telnet {computer IP or FDQN} 25If it connects then you will just get a black screen. It if doesn't connect it will give you a connection failure. What I had to do in this case to provide SMTP services to outside users without have to use VPN was to setup a non-SSL SMTP port on 587.

I am also facing same issue. Using exchange server 2007 sp1. Through the LAN we can send and receive mails via outlook client. But we have to use “My outgoing server requires authentication" in configuration. But when I configured Outlook form outside the LAN (WAN), can’t send mail to other domains. Mails get stuck in outbox. But receiving is possible. And, to internal mail accounts I can send. Outlook error, error (0x800CCC62) : 'Your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server has reported an internal error. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP). Pls. Advice

Check if outgoing mail server authentication is required in POP account setting in outlook again for different users. Select that option in account settings and use same settings as incoming server. Check this for other users..Anil
