550 5.2.0 STOREDRV.Deliver error
I have read the other 5 threads that have this error and tried the fixes they listed to no avail. I'm hoping on of the Exchange Devs sees this and has an answer. I have a small ( 6 users) office that is running exchange 2007 ( NOT SP1 or beta anything) and rollup 5 has been applied to the server and all services restarted. With that out of the way 2 of the users get email from a few people at bankofny.com. I do not see any errors in the event logs for the time frame that the email comes in but the senders have forwarded me the error below. Now my question is, is this message coming from my server or theirs. Most bounce messages I see have something that tells you at what end the error was generated, this one does not. If anyone can post some other options other than the 5-6 threads on here already have let me know. ======================================================================= Delivery Failure Report Your document: RE: TESTING, TESTING, TESTING, TESTING Mail routing... was not delivered to: user@mydomain.org because: 550 5.2.0 STOREDRV.Deliver: The Microsoft Exchange Information Store service reported an error. I just added a second Exchange 2007 Server to my single domain forest and get this exact same error from every email account on the new server when trying to email those on the old server. The other way works fine, as well as the send/receive connetors for the linux smtp gateway and internet mail flow is fine. Very little is indexed on this error by the search engines, so if someone could point me to where I should be looking to resolve this I would appreciate it greatly.Scott

I haveUpdate Rollup2 for Ex2007 installed. Still same problem. I can receive mail from almost everyone but there are two senders that do not come through in particular. One of them is when i try to reset my passowrd on CDWG website. The email comes through our spam filter but it stops at Exchange 2007 server with error above. Any other ideas? Thank you,

Paul, I called Microsoft and had to fix some permission issues that did not get transferred for some reason. Went in to ADSIedit, added permissions and the problem was fixed. If I remember correctly there were some 'everyone' permissions missing. Todd

You need to "Anonymous" write access to the account. I had the same problem with a public folder!/Lysemsoe

I had the same error where internal users could send to a Mail Enabled Public Folder but got the error when outside people would send to it. The resolution was to add "Contributor" permission to the Anonymous User on the Public Folder. You will need to do this as the Administrator or another user that has Owner Permissions to the folder.

Hey ok I know this may be late, but I just experienced this for the first time today. If you try to modify the full access permissions for a user that you are having trouble with, you may get an error that tells you it is having trouble reading the user properties from a DC. Check the DNS settings on the DC. Once i corrected that, it worked like a charm.
