530 5.7.1 Client was not authenticated
I have installed a Windows 2003 R2 server with all patches and Exch 2007 beta 2 on the same box for testing including its own domain and active directory. Basically its a 2007 exchange standalone on its own box. I configured it to send mail to the Internet but I can't receive mail from the internet or other email servers on the same network. What else to I need to do to set this standalone server up for sending and recieving without any other servers involved? Here is the error: 530 5.7.1 Client was not authenticated554 <jackie.butler@btastest.com>... Service unavailable

Hi Jackie I know that it's too late, but if someone else have the same trouble may can help. This error ocurr when the receive connector which receive all internet trafic does not have the correct autentication setup. For example: Scenario - Internet Trafic: Applance, autentication Anonimous - Receive Connector: Hub transport, autentication Exchange users The autentication must be the same in both, in this scenario the conection is reject for the receive conector.
