3rd party application needs to use our exchange server as a relay
I have an external thrid party application that needs to relay email to our exchange server. The email is going to our exchange server and it is being delivered to a oustide email address. I have a receive connector already setup with the external ip address of the 3rd party application. The application is giving a timeout that it cannot connect to our exchange server. Any suggestions would be helpful.

If it can't connect, that's different to getting a 421 status (which is what your server would return if the other server was able to contact it but wasn't authorized to use it). You problem sounds like it's more related to firewall problems. --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP
