2nd Mailbox/HUB/CAS
Hi All, I am putting in my 2nd Exchange server (typical install mailbox/HUB/CAS). When I installed my first Exchange server I was asked to provide mail flow settings, as in nominate a bridgehead server in my Exchange 2003 infrastructure. I am not getting challenged for this info during my second Exchange 2010 server setup. I take it this is a one time action and the second Exchange 2010 simply queries the first one for routing info? Just making sure this is normal behaviour. Many thanks

You are not being challenged because you already answered the question! You can run Set-RoutingGroupConnector and Set-SendConnector to add the new server for redundancy to the connectors that were created during your first install.Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."

Thanks Ed! Good to get confirmation from a more experienced Exchange brain , I must say :-) I plan to remove the Exchange 2003 server (after moving services of course) so I probably will not add redundancy for the 2003 based routing. Many thanks
