2nd Exchange 2003 GAL or alternative
We have a project requirement for a contacts database that would synchronize with Blackberry Playbooks in our organization. The data for the contacts would be supplied by me as a CSV file, and would contain approximately 45,000 entries could we create a 2nd GAL in Exchange 2003 with these 45,000 users in it? is there a better way to accoplish this? thx, jason

Hi Jason, a second GAL with Exchange 2003 is not a good idea here. For your Exchange users you can have only 1 GAL active. Creating 2nd GAL is basically possible, but then you have to deny the access to first GAL for some users, so not an option. What you can do : With BES 5 it should be possible to have a Public Folder synced to the devices. You first have to import the Contacts to a public folder (type contacts) and make that available to your devices. There are some tips to configure in the BES Admin guides. Gre, Christoph

Hi Export your data to CSV (or whatever) and import these into outlook as contacts. Drag them over to a public folder, and now all users will be able to get at it (and anyone you choose can administer it.)
