2 email domains
We have 2 seperate email domains here. Company1.com and Company2.com All of our users are in 1 AD. Some users use Company1.com for email anmd some use company2.com for email. When I set them through the wizard up how do I get it to use ethier company1.com or company2.com. On the Hub transport I have the accepted domains setup and the email policies for both companies. The problem is when I add users from the AD it automaticly puts the user in the email address policy with the priority of 1. is there away nto do this and chose the policy I want. Thanks

Hi,To get email address based on the company name.in both Email Address Policies you should define condition "Recipients in a company" and its value (company1 or Company2)then create users in AD and in its properties - > Organization and in Company type Company1 or Company2.Create mailbox in Exchange and email address will be assigned according to user's company name.References Managing E-Mail Address Policies in Exchange Server 2007http://www.msexchange.org/articles_tutorials/exchange-server-2007/management-administration/managing-email-address-policies.htmlShared Hosting with Exchange 2007 (Part 1)http://www.msexchange.org/articles_tutorials/exchange-server-2007/migration-deployment/shared-hosting-exchange-2007-part1.htmlhope this helps

Hi, Please understand that the value of the priority is the key point for e-mail address policy. The email address is used based on the higher value of priority. That is by design. If you need to customize the order of the email address policy, please implement the below steps to change the value of the priority. Please first install ADSI Edit too from the link below: http://technet2.microsoft.com/windowsserver/en/library/ebca3324-5427-471a-bc19-9aa1decd3d401033.mspx?mfr=true Then open ADSI, expand Configuration, CN=Configuration,DC=Domain Name,DC=com, expand CN=Services, Microsoft Exchange, First Organization, Recipient Policies, in the right panel, right click the E-mail Address Policies name, and then select Properties. Find the msExchPolicyOrder attribute, and then click Edit. Set the value of the msExchPolicyOrder attribute to number. Click OK, and then close ADSI Edit. After that, please check this issue. Thanks Allen
