2 different domain names issue with certificate HELP!
We are trying to setup a new exchange 2007 in a server 2003/2008 domain. We are having problems with the certificate. The local domain (company.com) is registered at a top level by someone else. Our current website/email domain (commpanyweb.com) is registered by us.How can we set up the UCC certficate subject alts to for autodiscover.company.com and exchange.company.com when we do not own the domain? The owa.companyweb.com is fine as we own this. Is there a way to create a autodiscover.companyweb.com and have it forward to our local autodiscover.company.com??~Pulling my hair out in PA

This might help you as an alternate method... A new feature is available that enables Outlook 2007 to use DNS Service Location (SRV) records to locate the Exchange Autodiscover service http://support.microsoft.com/kb/940881Amit Tank | MVP Exchange Server | MCITP: EMA | MCSA: M | http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com

I'm pretty sure you need to own the domain to create certificates by that name. SRV may not be an option as well sorry mate :(na
