2 Exchange Server in 2 AD Site, Outlook Client can only connect to 1 Exchange Server
All, Currenty i'm working on deployment of 2 AD Site (Windows Server 2008R2) and 2 Exchange Server 2010SP1 My server are configured : AD Site A (IP Add 192.168.2.1) and Exch Site A (192.168.2.2) AD Site B (IP Add 192.168.3.1) and Exch Site B (192.168.3.2) in AD Site and Service, all replication are working perfectly and i have increase the replication interval to 4 times in 1 hour. in Exchange Console, i have appoint each Exchange Server to specific AD Exch Site A --> AD Site A Exch Site B --> AD Site B My problem is that Outlook client in site B always connect to Exch Site A and each time i want to manually modify the connection to Exch Site B, the user can't be recognized and i have to change back to Exch Site A. I have use Exchange rollback update and the problem still occurs. What configuration should i do or modify in my Exchange Server so the Outlook client in Site B can point to Exch Server Site B ? Best Regards, Ben

Hi Are your server in Site A active with all databases? If you run Get-MailboxDatabase | fl *rpc* post the result in here http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb123971.aspxJonas Andersson MCTS: Microsoft Exchange Server 2007/2010 | MCITP: EMA 2007/2010 | MCSE/MCSA Blog: http://www.testlabs.se/blog

Create CAS Array, for each site. Add Each CAS to own CAS Array, for each site. Set RPC mailbox access for local mailbox server, if there is one. But if there is only one MBX server and it is located in Site B, that you have to configure correct proxing from CAS in site B to CAS in site A, and of course, you have to setup Auto discovery correctly. And if you have local Mailbox server, in Site B, you did install HUB server ? And as Jonas Andersson recommends, run command Get-MailboxDatabase | fl *rpc, and post results.

Hi Jonas, Server Site A is Active also SiteB. They both have each own database as you can see below : [PS] C:\Windows\system32>Get-MailboxDatabase Name Server Recovery ReplicationType ---- ------ -------- --------------- MailboxSystem CP-05 False None Mailbox Kav11-1 CP-05 False None Mailbox Kav35-1 CP-10 False None http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb123971.aspx I run the command "Get-MailboxDatabase |fl *rpc*" in both of the Exch Server and it showed as below : Site A : [PS] C:\Windows\system32>Get-MailboxDatabase |fl *rpc* RpcClientAccessServer : CP-05.ciputraproperty.com RpcClientAccessServer : CP-05.ciputraproperty.com RpcClientAccessServer : CP-05.ciputraproperty.com Site B : [PS] C:\Windows\system32>Get-MailboxDatabase |fl *rpc* RpcClientAccessServer : CP-05.ciputraproperty.com RpcClientAccessServer : CP-05.ciputraproperty.com RpcClientAccessServer : CP-05.ciputraproperty.com I also run another command : [PS] C:\Windows\system32>Get-MailboxDatabase "Mailbox Kav11-1" | fl RpcClientAccessServer RpcClientAccessServer : CP-05.ciputraproperty.com [PS] C:\Windows\system32>Get-MailboxDatabase "Mailbox Kav35-1" | fl RpcClientAccessServer RpcClientAccessServer : CP-05.ciputraproperty.com

Hi On the database you have active in Site B, run the following command Set-MailboxDatabase -id MDBACTIVEINSITEB -RpcClientAccessServer FQDNOFCASSERVERINSITEB http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb123971.aspx Even better is if you're using Casarray like MaliStane wrote about Anyway, this can be accomplished without casarray by the command aboveJonas Andersson MCTS: Microsoft Exchange Server 2007/2010 | MCITP: EMA 2007/2010 | MCSE/MCSA Blog: http://www.testlabs.se/blog

Hi Jonas and Mali, Finaly got it working, by using your suggestions. I've build CAS Array in each the site, make a new CAS Array, Install Windows NLB, Create a Host name in the DNS for the NLB, Add New Cluster in the Windows NLB and finally using the get and set command to point the Mailbox database to the new CAS Array fqdn. Thanks alot guys. Your solutions trully works..!! Cheers, Ben
