We have recently upgraded to Office 2010.  I have 7 Excel files that have 3 tables each with three charts each.  I have copied the chart objects from these Excel files into 7 word documents using Paste Special > Paste Link >Microsoft Excel Object. 

All files are saved as the new 2010 formats.  Whenever I update any table in Excel the charts automatically update in Excel however ...now when I open the Word document that has the linked charts from Excel and answer YES to the question - Do you want to automatically update the link? it does NOT update the chart in Word, even when F9 is pressed.   The chart objects are now just pictures and no longer linked.   I have rebuilt the links three months running now, and they have failed each and every time.   I don't have time to keep doing this every month, I need them to update automatically.   

Suggestions please?
