2007 copy a user in ADUC
Why can't I let my helpdesk copy users in ADUC, then run Set-Mailbox-ApplyMandatoryProperties?David

You can but not recommended. Its always recommended to use Exchange 2007 aware tools like EMC/EMS to create, modify or delete Exchange recipients. Why don't you create user using New-Mailbox cmdlet with -TemplateInstance parameter to specify the user which you want to copy from... New-Mailbox http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa997663.aspx TemplateInstance-If you do not specify this parameter, ActiveDirectory will create a SAMAccountName automatically, based on the user principal name. When an existing object is supplied to the TemplateInstance parameter, the command will use that object's configuration to create an exact duplicate of the object on a local or target server.
