2007 OWA Expired Password and First Time Users
Forgive me if this has been addressed before, but I have searched the forums and the internet and have yet to find a solution... My current environment: All servers are Server 2008 SP1 Exchange 2007 SP1 All Clients are XP SP3 No clients are joined to the 2008 domain, yet. I just set up the exchange 2007 server and started to test it. A huge problem that I have run into with the 2007 exchange server is that users cannot change their passwords if they are expired or are first time users to the Domain. I need them to be able to change their passwords, especially if they are new users to the domain, without having to log in to a domain workstation. This is due to none of the workstations being added to the domain at this time. I am in the process of migrating the workstations to the domain, but the Exchange server needs to go live before all clients can be added. So basically, I need the functionality that 2003 exchange had for users to change expired passwords and change their password for the first time (away from the default password that I set). Exchange 2007 will be the only domain level resource that the users have access to until their workstation is migrated to active directory. All help is greatly appreciated.

While this feature isnt enabled by default on Exchange 2007 it is possible to enable it anyway. Note that "Exchange 2007" is listed at the bottom of this article:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/297121/note the extra info for server 2008http://telnetport25.wordpress.com/2008/05/08/windows-2008-iis-7-the-exchange-2007-cas-and-iisadmpwd/
