I get Event ID: 9690 and FirstStorageGroup/Mailbox Store Dismounts. http://technet2.microsoft.com/WindowsServerSolutions/SBS/en/library/cea35b4f-9e49-40b4-9065-cf1a81abbfcd1033.mspx?mfr=true I did all the registry changes but still doesn't work. Registry settings are : Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeIS\FPK-MAIL\Private-a8f591c3-cabe-4931-87d2-448accf567e7]"Background Cleanup"=dword:0000ea60"Background Search"=dword:00001388"General Event Log"=dword:00000000"Track Duplicates"=dword:00000001"Transport Event Log"=dword:00000000"Global ID Counter"=hex:5f,d0,53,76,21,20,a8,43,9f,b1,0c,3d,5c,75,e9,47,00,00,\ 00,1d,e4,61"NonMAPI Named Props Quota"=dword:00002000"Database Size Check Start Time in Hours From Midnight"=dword:00000001"Database Size Buffer in Percentage"=dword:0000000a"Database Size Limit in GB"=dword:00000032------------------- Any IDEA why this would happen. thx

When you start Information Store you get an event in the Application log telling you what settings you have, dont remember the eventID but you should be able to find it in there.

What worked the best for me wasStart the registry editor. Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeIS\[ServerName]\[GUID of private store] HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeIS\[Servername]\<GUID of public store> Choose Edit > New > DWORD Value. Name the new value "Database Size Limit in GB" Edit the new value and give it a decimal size between 1 and 75 GB. Restart the Information Store service. This key will also work on the Enterprise Edition of Exchange if you want to limit the size of a database to less than 8TB. If you ever have to recover Exchange with the /disasterrecovery switch, you will need to manually recreate these keys.
