2003 Domain with a 2008 Child Domain & Exchange 2003
Hello everyone, we have been struggling with a problem and I was hoping someone can shed some light. The problem is we have 4 domain controllers and 3 of them are 2003 on our parent domain. The root domain controller is 2003 as well. We want to be able to create a Child Domain under our parent domain using Server 2008 as the child domain. We were told that in order to get Exchange 2003 to work in the child domain we would need to have the child domain on a 2003 Server. If we do it in 2008, compatibility issues arise with Exchange server 2003. We currently cannot upgrade everything over to a 2008 domain and exchange 2010. Anyone know a workaround for this? We already created the child domain in 2008 and we do not want to demote the current domain or the domain controllers in that child domain. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thank you

Hi, Exchange 2003 is supported in a Windows 2008 active directory environment: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee338574(EXCHG.80).aspx Leif

Ask who told you that for the reference. I think he's wrong.-- Ed Crowley MVP"There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."."PersianSCOM" wrote in message news:9a1866df-297a-4f6d-9796-3c96924d0bcd...Hello everyone, we have been struggling with a problem and I was hoping someone can shed some light. The problem is we have 4 domain controllers and 3 of them are 2003 on our parent domain.
