2000 to 2007
Iam using Exchange2000 which I know can be migrated to Exchange 2007, but my question is my Exchnage 2000 is also a domain controller. As 2007 will not work while I have a Server2000 domain controller what problems will i run into. As I intend to migrate to 2007 on a gradual basis, can I still dcpromo my Server2000 DC and have exchange2000 still work for those clients mailboxes still on the 2000 server. I do have a Windows2003 DC also and so I know authentication for logging on wont be an issue, but not sure if this will effect email if I DCPromo. Thanks

Hi, First thing is don't dcpromo the Exchange 2000 box. You can run Exchange 2007 with a 2000 DC still in the domain but you will need to 2003 SP1 one as well. Take a look here for more info: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb125224.aspx Cheers Nathan
