1 reply address for a group off users for external mail
I am trying to get the following to work: John works for the sales department. His mail address is John@domain.com. But when he mails to external people his reply address should be sales@domain.com. However for internal use John@domain.com should be his reply address. There is a sales@domain.com mail account and about 7 people share this account and all of them need what I described. Can I arrange this automatically in exchange 2003?

Hi, There is no automatic method to modify the sender email address for external email according to the basic Exchange function. In order to modify the sender email address for external email automatically, you need to customize a script. Nevertheless, the script may affect your Exchange Server performance (as the script needs to view every emails to check whether the Sender mail address needs to be rewritten). Thus, I suggest that you let the users to write the From address manually in Outlook to send as the sales@domain.com to achieve the aim. Mike
