16GB database limitation on Exchange 2000 Std edition
Hi all Just after clarification on the 16GB database limitation on Exchange 2000 Standard Edition. Is the limitation on the size of the information store, or is it on the individual databses within the store? I have a single information store containing priv1.edb and pub1.edb databases. I have read conflicting information on this. I am hoping that the private and public folders are both individually limited to 16GB. Or is it a limitation of the entire information store? Thanks in advance Ausdan

The 16 GB limit is per store. you can ahve 16 GB mailbox store and a 16 GB Public Folder store. if you need bigger. you can upgrade to Enterprise edition (unlimited in size), or install additional servers or upgrade to Exchange 2003 std. which have 75 GB limit orExchange 2007 std. which has no limit.

Thanks Lasse. Our public store is at approx 10GB and our mailbox store is at about 5.5GB. It's good to know I have some breathing space. I was aware of the 75GB limit on Exchange 2003 SP2 and will be upgrading to that shortly.
