Hello, I recently installed windows server 2008 R2 fresh. After install I setup a static IP address under the TCP/IPv4 properties and then install the AD DS role under the server manager. After I run dcpromo.exe and setup the first forest and finish the install the computer reboots. The reboot take a considerable amount of time and when it logs back in I have some warnings under the event log for AD DS; the following doesn't make sense to me. Does anyone know how to fix this? "The local domain controller could not connect with the following domain controller hosting the following directory partition to resolve distinguished names: Domain controller: Directory partition: mh.domain.com Additional Data Error Value 1355 The specified domain either does not exist or cold not be connected.
