0x8004011D

I cannot send e-mail from my PC using outlook. I get the following error: 0x8004011D.

I can receive e-mail on my PC and I can send e-mail from the web and from my phone.  Sent messages from phone/web show up in my PC outlook sent file.

It is obviously connecting with the server but it will not let me send messages.

How do I fix?

Hi,

I need to know the version of your Outlook and the account type in this issue, moreover, let me know your Windows version.

By the way, since the upgrade to Windows 10, some users meet the issue that Outlook can receive but not send emails, the fix is to run sfc /scannow from an elevated Command Prompt and reboot your computer afterwards:

  • Right click on the Start button of Windows and choose: Command Prompt (Admin).
    • If you dont see this, instead choose: Windows PowerShell (Admin)
  • Behind the prompt type: sfc /scannow
(note the space in the command)
  • Wait until the process completes.
  • Restart your computer.

Check if this works for you.
