0x8004010f -- More info..
Hey guys and gals. I was asked to post my solution about the dreaded 0x8004010f error. Im sure that many of you, if not MOST IT staff have had to deal with the dreaded 0x8004010f error that sporadically pops up when connecting a new Outlook profile to Exchange. Before I go into any details, I have no idea why my solution works, but it does, and any time I see a 0x8004010f error, I tell other IT staff to try my solution, and the results have been consistent. Are you ready? (This post assumes you have tried everything recommended in other posts to solve your issue) Open EMC/Recipient Configuration/Mailbox/(User with the issue) Select the Mailbox Features Tab. Disable POP3 AND IMAP4. Now start outlook, wait a few minutes, and then try OAB. If it still doesnt work, delete the Outlook profile, and recreate a new one using the autodiscover feature in outlook. (That always works, ya, I know youve done it a million times to solve this issue, but whats one more time gonna hurt?) Manually entering in your settings never seems to work and will more than likely cause the 0x8004010f error to pop. I have had a %100 success rate when I make these changes on other Exchange servers. Again, I was asked to post this here as it has solved the 0x8004010f error that my other colleagues have been experiencing. I dont know why, and I dont care. But it seems to work.
