wss3 folder links & quicklaunch links problem
I have a site called http://mysite.net, then I have a document library called toolbox, and within that library I have a folder called "service" If I browse to the "service" folder through the "view all content" method, the address bar shows the following url: http://mysite.net/Toolbox/Forms/ToolBox.aspx?RootFolder=%2fToolbox%2fService&FolderCTID=&View=%7b74C172B6%2d1001%2d4CE6%2d85E2%2d1867194328CB%7d from this page I can successfully upload documents If I browse to http://mysite.net/toolbox/service, I get the exact same looking page as above but a different url: http://mysite.net/Toolbox/Forms/ToolBox.aspx?RootFolder=http%3a%2f%2fmysite%2enet%2ftoolbox%2fservice&FolderCTID=0x01200099FE91CA3DBF8749835ACDC8399790DD and when I upload files from this page, they do not appear (there is no error - everything seems normal but the files don't appear) this means that when I add a link to the quicklaunch bar, instead of using the simple link http://mysite.net/toolbox/service, I need to use the long url of the properly functioning page. I am wondering if there is any known reason that would cause this. I have other quick launch links that work fine with the simple link

I can reproduce the issue in my SharePoint site version 12.0.0.6529: I got different URLs in IE address bar if i open the Upload.aspx page in the following different Methods: Method1: Click View All Site Content -> toolbox->Service->Upload; Method2: Enter http://mysite.net/Toolbox/Service directly in IE address bar and then click Upload; And following Method 1, I uploaded a document, the document will appear in Service folder; Following Method 2, I uploaded a document, the document will appear in the root folder of the Toolbox document library instead of the Service folder. This can be confusing. This behavior has changed in SharePoint 2010 Gu Yuming TechNet Subscriber Support in forum If you have any feedback on our support, please contact tngfb@microsoft.com
