windows 10 update
Build 10040 downloaded ok But when my system rebooted to the update started the system hung up for about and hour. I reboot and when the system came back up it removed the new build. So my question is how to I go about redownloading it. I tried through update and recovery and it said my system was up to date.

Try restart your PC and open the Setting and check for build again.

First make sure your Windows is updated and then check for the latest build and make sure it set to Fast.

I don't think it's reallyhung up. My extreme seemed to hang during that period BUT there was a fair amount of undulating CPU consumption during that period telling me thar something was going on BUT the average user will need much better feedback than this during installation.

Hi dldodge2,

Please upload your Windowsupdate.log file and your CBS.log, we will help to check it out.

Collect them and upload them into OneDrive and then post the shared link here.

Enable Show hidden file and folders under folder options,

then check and see if you have any Windows-BT folder under system drive. If yes, find the logs needed based on the article below:

Windows Setup Log Files and Event Logs
