I am running w10 10074 on my surface pro 3 256GB ... working fine

I have tried now twice to install 10122, but it stops at the same point.

18% 62 % of files installed. then it sits there .... nothing yesterday I left it overnight and this morning it still was at the same point

there is plenty of room left on my ssd 150GB free

anyone has a glue?

From your description, your free space of disk is enough.

Let's try again under the following scenarios:

1. Network connection is fine

2. Rename the SoftwareDistribution folder to SoftwareDistribution.old

but the it says the file is open in another program ... and does not let me change or delete the folder

Which program is using the files?

Hi,

Before renaming it, we need to stop the Windows update service firstly.

1. Click WIN+R, type "services.msc"

2. Located to "Windows Update" service in the right pane, right click to "Stop" it.

3. Tried again to rename that folder.
