why sharepoint 2007 called as MOSS?
Hi, I wanted to know why Sharepoint 2007 called as MOSS while Sharepoint 2010 does not? Thanks in advance. Regards, Jayashri

MOSS stands for Microsoft Office SharePoint Server and was entitled due to much tighter integration with Office. The previous version has two versions: - Windows SharePoint Services 2.0 (retained in WSS 3.0)Sharepoint Portal Services MOSS came with Standard and Enterprise versions. In later versions, tighter integration with Office and other MS products is a given, but the standard / enterprise variants were retained.Steven Andrews | SharePoint Professional | http://www.twitter.com/backpackerd00d | https://baron72.wordpress.com/
