why can not find sp_dts_checkexists however can run it
Hi,
Have you got permissions on MSDB? Can you connect with some login with sysadmin role? The sysobjects is a DMV, dynamic view, so if dont have permissions can't see it on DMV.Vctor M. Dear all
when I am trying to save a SSIS package to MSDB database, it seems this stored procedure does not exists in the MSDB with query like below
select name, id from sysobjects where name = 'sp_dts_checkexists'
it turns out emty results
however when I am running the statement like
exec dbo.sp_dts_checkexists 'pkgnm1', 'unqid'
it shows message of
The EXECUTE permission was denied on the object 'sp_dts_checkexists', database 'msdb', schema 'dbo'
That tells us the 'sp_dts_checkexists' exists in the current database, why I cannot find it neither in sysobjects table or in object explorer of SSMS.
Another issue is no any document for this system stored procedure in MSDN Library, I wonder why.
I am using Sql Server 2005 Enterprise Edition SP2
