which one is right
while captureing image i am not sure what could be the difference between 2 methods. which one is right
a) exacting iso image & creating package in operating system install package - capture in the images on unkown machine (with out OS)
b)exacting iso image & creating package in operating system install package - capture in the images on kown machine (Windows 7 installed machine)

Hi,
I normally try to do as many of these settings using GPO or Group Policy Preferences, some things you have to do with some scripting, but what you should start to look att is creating an Unattend.xml file containing the modifications you need for the OS.

or you can use Maik Kosters script
here to do the following actions:-
- Create, copy, move and delete files and folders
- Create, update, delete and read(!) registry settings including mounting of offline hives
- Create, update, delete and read XML, INI and simple text files
- Use MDT properties, environment variables and even VBScript functions as values, for path or file names, etc.
- restrict execution based on rules
you can make changes to windows using unattend.xml files here's an example of
changing keyboard layout
to make/edit unattend.xml files you'll need to familiarise yourself with Windows SIM.

if any readily avliable scripts which consist of general settings or configuration. like removal of games, IE settings, any other things. I am using Config manager task sequence not MDT
