Hi BASKARAND,From your description, I assume you installed SQL Server Reporting Services 2005 on a server that running Internet Information Server(IIS) 7.0. Now, you meet the issue "A connection could not be made to the report server http://localhost/ReportServer" while deploying reports to report server. The application pool the Reporting Services used is running in Integrated Mode. If I have misunderstood, please do not hesitate to let me know. The issue should be caused by the Reporting Services is running in Integrated mode. By default, to run SQL Server Reporting Services 2005 in IIS7.0, the application pool the Reporting Services used must be in Classic mode.To solve the issue, please follow these steps:1.Open IIS management by running the command inetmgr2.Double-click the application pool the Reporting Services used.3.Change the Manage Pipe mode to Classic.4.Restart IIS by running command iisreset. Now, we should be able to deploy reports to report server. If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask. Thanks,Jin ChenJin Chen - MSFT
