when I run configure and enable RRAS I get this message below!

hi,

I have enabled RRAS with powershell command successfully .when I open this wizard and click on my server name and click on configure and enable routing and remote access I get this message: there was an error in determining whether the direct access is enabled on this server.if direct access is enabled on this machine,please make sure to select the interface in the following pages as used in direct access.

I don't understand if this message has something to tell or if something is wrong

I didn't run anywhere access wizard expressly because when I configured remote access and I runned this command to configure routing and remote access I had this  same m

Where did you find a link saying you should enable RRAS on Essentials from a powershell command?

All I saw was this:

You can also enable these roles/features from the Server Manager or PowerShell command-lets, however on Windows Server Essentials we recommend enabling it using the Set up Anywhere Access wizard.

I did not see them post any commands to enable RRAS?

I would reinstall or restore from a backup before you did the powershell and use the wizards

Hi,

Agree with Stills suggestion, restore the server to previous state (without this role configured) and the try to install and configure RRAS by GUI.
