what does this error mean?
I know this is a noob question but I am learning. There is a Management error occuring with a red circle and an X in it. It is Deployment and Inventory error but it does not say anything other than that. What is this error and what does it mean? This is one of the errors that I am getting and I will start by trying to resolve one at a time. Please any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi, In SCE console- Monitoring space - Active alerts, you can see detail error messages here. Could you find error related to update deployment or inventory failed?

Thank you for the reply. Well, when I go to Monitoring space - Active alerts, I do not see the computers which are getting that error. E.g. in the Computers space, there is Comp1 getting the Management Status error, and when I go to Monitoring space - Active alerts space, I could not find that Comp1 in there. Any other ideas please???

Hi, Did this happen on all clients or some specific clients? If the problem only occured on specific clients, please un-install agent on these clients and delete them from SCE console, then re-deploy agents to these clients.

Thank you for the reply. This happened on specific clients but there are some 40 specific clients give or take some. If I am going to manually do it on each and every client, it is not feasible at all but if I can do it from the SCE console, please let me know the way. I just found out this... As I said there are 40 some clients getting the management error i.e. a red circle with an X in it. Now for some clients, when I go to Monitoring space - Active alerts and try to find those clients, it will show up with an yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in it, now which error should I look for? This is getting frustrating... Thank you.

Hi, You can re-deploy agents using SCE console. In SCE console - Administration pane - Device Management - Agent Manged Right click problematic agent and choose "uninstall". Wait for a while, make sure the agent has been removed from client, then re-deploy agent to clients by running "Computer and Device Management Wizard" in Administration space.
